The Art Institute of Colorado Celebrates 25 Years for Alumni
The Art Institute of Colorado celebrated 25 years of alumni success on Saturday, October 25 with its special event Five Squared. Five Squared, the 25th Anniversary of The Art Institute’s Hall of Fame, honored alumni who are internationally recognized professionals with prominent careers. This year The Art Institute of Colorado inducted its newest member, Kimberly Timmons, Owner/Designer Kimberly Timmons Interiors, 1987 Interior Design graduate, into the school’s Hall of Fame. As part of the Hall of Fame celebration, Kimberly’s work, along with 20 other alumni designers were accepted into Directions, the alumni gallery show held at the John Jellico Gallery.
In addition, 2009 EDMC Foundation scholarships were awarded to:
• Dan Satterfield, Graphic Design - $4,000
• Cassie Lackey, Media Arts and Animation - $3,000
• Bobby Piper, Industrial Design - $1,000
• Elena Zadouri, Photography - $1,000
• Lora Lea Dord-Duncan, Photography- $1,000
And the 2009 $3,000 VanderMay Memorial scholarship was awarded to Allen Prom, Culinary Management.
With over 150 attendees, Five Squared raised over $9,000 for next year’s scholarships! Congratulations to all of our talented recipients.
Guests of Five Squared enjoyed great food, wine tasting and had the opportunity to bid on various silent auction items throughout the evening. A special thank you to all who made Five Squared a huge success!
