For Students

Employment
The Career Service department provides employment assistance to enrolled and graduating students. The Student Employment Coordinator offers a number of employment options, including:
• Full- and part-time opportunities
• Field- and non-field related freelance opportunities
• Work-study positions

When advising students about employment, several factors are considered including the student’s school schedule, skill level and personal preference. In addition, all students have access to job boards and the weekly job newsletter, The Link, which lists current student employment opportunities. Prior to graduation the Career Service staff works with each student to offer guidance on the employment market and search.

Internships
The Career Services department provides information about internship opportunities that it deems will be of value and interest to students. Consultation on internship opportunities is available to all students of the school. Internships for credit must be approved by the student’s academic department in order for class credit to be obtained.

As progress is made toward upper level coursework, students are encouraged to obtain internships, part-time field related employment, or freelance opportunities appropriate to their current skill level.

Ongoing communication with new and existing employers keeps the industry aware of the high caliber of our graduates and the diversity of training offered at The Art Institute of Colorado.

For more information on employment and internship opportunities visit our Career Services department or contact Neville Harson, Student Employment Coordinator, at nharson@aii.edu or 1.303.824.4773.
