Parking and Transportation

Student Parking Stickers are required, they are free of charge for all student vehicles parked in the attached parking garage. These stickers are available through Student Affairs Room 220. Student Parking Stickers identify your vehicle as affiliated with The Art Institute of Colorado and prevent it from being ticketed or towed for parking in our private garage. Students are required to pay for parking.

The parking garage is located just north of the main entrance to The Art Institute of Colorado. This lot is available to students, faculty, and staff on a space available basis. There is no In and Out parking. Parking in this lot is never free; an automatic pay-station is located on the top level of the parking garage. Visitor and Handicap parking is available. Visitors to the 1200 Lincoln Building are required to pick up a parking pass at the reception desk on the first (1st) floor, and then it must be put into the front windshield of the vehicle.

Student parking spaces are numbered on the wall at the front of each stall, 1-100 only. The number indicates which space you will need to pay for. The cost for parking is $2.00 per hour, $5.00 a day, and $3.00 from 5 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., all parking is paid at the pay station on the top level. Please do not park in spaces marked "Reserved Parking Only or Reserved Parking Only numbered", these spots are for faculty and staff. However the “Reserved Parking Only” numbered spots are available for student use after 5 p.m.

• Customer service issues relating to parking should be handled in person in Student Affairs, Room 220.
• Students park at their own risk and liability.
• Prepaid SmartCards and Temporary Handicap Parking Permits (with a doctor's note), are available in Student Affairs, Room 220 (303-824-4909).
• While The Art Institute of Colorado does not provide a mass transit pass for all students, Regional Transportation District (RTD) bus passes are provided to school-sponsored housing residents permitting travel throughout metro Denver.
• RTD monthly passes are for sale in Student Affairs, Room 220.
