National Week of Service Project

The Ronald McDonald House

GREEN donations for The Ronald McDonald House with complimentary iced coffee served by Ronald McDonald.

The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale will be participating in a community service project during the week of April 19-25. This national initiative involves students, staff, and faculty. The goal: to improve and impact the communities that are served by the many EDMC locations, and reflect the importance of service learning upon the students that we serve.

The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale will be helping our neighbor The Ronald McDonald House® a place for families to find rest, support and time away from realities of the hospital procedures and routines in any Miami-Dade and Broward County pediatric medical facility. http://www.rmhcsouthflorida.org/ AiFL has been a community supporter with the Fort Lauderdale house from the time of construction through today.

This temporary "home-away from home®" needs the following supplies. In the spirit of EARTH WEEK, please donate a GREEN item (if you can):

Paper Towels
Laundry Detergent
Bleach
Dish Washer Soap
Garbage Bags (13 gal. and 45 gal)
White bath towels & hand towels
Cleaning products (Lysol, Fantastik, Windex)

Look for drop off boxes around campus beginning Week 2.

If everyone brought in just one item each, think of the positive impact it would have on the families in need of support while their children are in the hospital getting treatment.
