Organizations & Activities
Student Green Club

Students not only work hard in the classroom, but also stay busy outside of it. There are plenty of activities at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale that allow you to be creative and get involved, whether you're into clubs or Student Government.

LIST OF STUDENT CLUBS

American Society of Interior Designers, Student Chapter (ASID)
Interior Design students and professionals have an opportunity to discuss and promote the interior design industry.

Art Asylum / American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA)
Student contests, free tutorials, special offers, free downloads and much more related to the graphic design industry.

Fashion Club
Organization for students entering careers in management, fashion, merchandising, computers, and entrepreneurship.

Gay-Straight Alliance
GSA brings together queer youth and straight allies to fight homophobia on campus and in the community by raising awareness of different sexual and gender identities, and advocating for equal treatment for youth of all sexual orientations. GSA will create a school environment free of homophobic harassment, therefore making our school a safe and comfortable community for all students.

Illustration Club
An informal forum where students with an interest in painting and illustration have an opportunity to exchange ideas and participate with in-school projects.

Industrial Design Society of America, Student Chapter (IDSA)
This local student chapter of the national organization give students an opportunity to meet professionals and participate in numerous community-related projects.

The International Club
The International Club provides global awareness and cultural diversity through social, cultural and educational activities among AiFL's students, faculty and staff. The International Club is open to everyone interested in learning about other people’s cultures.

Photography Club 
Photography students exchange ideas, tackle problems, get involved in civic projects, and plan fun and exciting projects.

Student Government
Students organize socials, plan campus events, schedule programming for the Student Center and get involved in community outreach programs, volunteer work, and Student Services events.

Student Green Club
The Student Green Club promotes a culture of environmental responsibility, sustainability, and social awareness at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. They strive to make real and lasting changes within our school and community through education and training that benefit the environment and people in it. The Student Green Club is dedicated to creating solutions that are environmentally, ethically, and economically sound.
