GX4350 Hard Surface and Organic Modeling
In this advanced modeling course for the gaming industry, students create game assets with a focus on polygon and/or face count. Research plays an integral part in modeling for the gaming industry and in this course students demonstrate an understanding of creating game assets within a specific context and technical guidelines. CU3014 History and Culture of Cuisine
This course provides an examination of the major historical and geographic developments that have affected the creation of various cultural patterns including, but not limited to, gastronomic choices, cooking habits, folkways, and the use of local ingredients to meet nutritional and cultural considerations. Topics include the power and impact of cultural symbols and the ways that generations teach their young to honor a cultural heritage. Students complete a term paper on a topic of their choice related to the content of this course.

ARH2722C History of Graphic Design
This course examines the influences of societal trends, historical events, technological
developments, and the fine arts on contemporary graphic design, illustration, typographic design, architectural design, photography, and fashionable design trends in general. Through lectures, supplied visual examples, independent research, and design assignments, the student studies a variety of major design influences. Students also study how to research and utilize a wide variety of design styles. [Prereq: ENC1102 or ENC1104]

This course is an introduction to service marketing as applied to the Hospitality industry. This course will cover application of basic marketing concepts and research methods. Design and delivery of marketing components for a hospitality business will be covered. Topics included but not limited to: unique attributes of service marketing; consumer orientation; consumer behavior; market segmentation principles; target marketing; product planning; promotion planning; market research; and competitor analysis.

CU2527 Hospitality Supervision /Professional Development
This course focuses on managing people from the hospitality supervisor's viewpoint. The emphasis is on techniques for increasing productivity and controlling labor costs, time management, and managing change. It includes effective communication and explains the responsibilities of a supervisor in the foodservice operation. How to motivate employees and resolve conflicts with staff, guests, and other departments, as well as interviewing and résumé writing skills, are addressed.
