Mark K. Wheeler Gallery

Having a gallery space to display artwork is a tremendous asset to The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale (AiFL).

On a regular basis, the Mark K. Wheeler Gallery [named after the founder of AiFL hosts exhibits for the students and public to view. The exhibits are carefully selected and are used to demonstrate professional accomplishments, challenge students to explore new mediums, and showcase AiFL’s impressive resources and talents. Many faculty members incorporate visits to the gallery into the curriculum, teaching students to appreciate and critique works of art.

AiFL sponsors student exhibitions and awards cash prizes for creativity, technical execution, and original concept.

The gallery is located on the first floor of the Main Building and is open
Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.,
Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and
Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The gallery is closed on Sundays and holidays.

Sequential Evolution - The Comic Book Club demonstrates their art and storyboarding techniques.

February 8 - 29
Broward Art Educators Association - an exhibition of art works created by Broward County art teachers.

March 4 - April 2
Fashion Accents - A solo exhibition of mixed media by fashion instructor Irina Ivanova.
