Hanoch Piven, Artist Lecture and Exhibition

The Art Institute of Houston Graphic Design department presents HANOCH PIVEN. He will be speaking about his work on Monday May 18, 2009 12-1pm in the Steve R. Gregg Gallery at The Art Institute of Houston, 1900 Yorktown Street, Houston TX 77056. This event is open to the public.

The exhibition of his work will be up in the gallery from Monday May 18 – July 3, 2009.

Hanoch Piven’s celebrity celebrity caricatures have appeared on the cover of Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, among other publications. An award-winning mixed media artist and author, Piven’s bright, minimalist and witty collages have appeared in publications for over 14 years. Ground meat, boxing gloves, bananas and smoked fish are just a small sample of found objects Piven utilizes to create likenesses.
