She serves on the boards of the University of Houston Alumni Association, the American Red Cross, and is currently a member of the Board of Education's Committee on School Finance/Permanent School Fund and the Texas Growth Fund.

More than 25 years' experience in education in Phoenix, Arizona, New York, New York and in Houston, Texas as Dean of Education at The Art Institute of Houston from 1989 to 1995. Dr. Maki serves on the Boards of Trustees for the The New England Institute of Art and The Art Institutes International — Minnesota.
Stacey R. Sauchuk, Ph.D.

Dr. Sauchuk has served in various capacities with Education Management Corporation including Group Vice-President/The Art Institutes, President and CEO of The Art Institute of Philadelphia and Assistant Director of Admissions at The Art Institute of Philadelphia. She holds a Ph.D. in School Psychology, and a Master of Education in School Psychology, both from Temple University in Philadelphia. Additionally she has over nine years experience in health care management. Dr. Sauchuk is an accomplished pianist, has traveled extensively and is conversational in both French and Spanish.
