Organizations & Activities: Academic Advising Center
The office of Academic Advising is designed to enhance the quality of student life and learning by providing curriculum clarification, academic and life skills coaching, and campus referrals in a courteous and supportive environment.
Students will visit with an Academic Advisor in their first quarter of college to review quarterly and career goals and campus policies and procedures.
On a quarterly basis, Art Institute of Houston students work with an Academic Advisor to select courses and review academic progress. Students may also visit the Office of Academic Advising for assistance with:
- Study skills
- Time management
- Action plans for academic success
- Clarifying campus policies
- Communication strategies
- Student advocacy
