MISSION
The Mission of The Art Institute of Houston Library is to provide services, facilities, and Library collections that stimulate creativity and enhance professional development while supporting the curricula and mission at The Art Institute of Houston.
The collection comprises multiple format resources and services to meet the needs of all students, faculty and staff. In addition to its specialized collections, the Library provides both general and specfic instruction that are tailored to the needs of various instructors or classes for Library, database, or Information Literacy instruction. The Library also provides research assistance, whether face to face, via e-mail or by phone. It also provides meeting and study space, video viewing stations, word processing, Internet access, copiers and printing. Aside from the Library’s print collection, it also provides students and faculty access to a significant number of premiere academic, financial and software tutorial databases which provide both on and off-site access to curricula specific authoritative information for their academic and professional needs.
