Student Complaints

The Art Institute of Houston welcomes constructive dialogue about any concerns related to teaching and learning at the college. While students are encouraged to resolve concerns or complaints informally and at the lowest possible level, a formal process is established for those who wish to make a written complaint. In this policy, a formal complaint is defined as a written statement signed by a student and submitted to the college about a matter requiring formal consideration and resolution by the college administration. Complaints made under this policy will be monitored and reviewed to enable the college to continually improve processes and services in support of student learning. The student complaint policy operates in concert with policies described elsewhere in the college catalog and student handbook.
