THE ART INSTITUTE OF INDIANAPOLIS RECEIVES THE ACCSCT SCHOOL OF DISTINCTION AWARD
(Indianapolis, IN September 2, 2008) The Art Institute of Indianapolis has been recognized by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) as a 2007/2008 School of Distinction.
The ACCSCT School of Distinction Award recognizes member schools that have demonstrated a commitment to the expectations and rigors of ACCSCT accreditation, as well as a commitment to delivering quality educational programs to the students, graduates and employers. ACCSCT’s accreditation process is a comprehensive review of all academic and ancillary activities and resources that support an institution’s educational objectives and the programs it offers. The accreditation process is a 1.5 to 2 year process that studies the infrastructure that supports the delivery of programs and educational outcome. Outcomes demonstrate the effectiveness of educational programs including favorable completion and job placement rates, state licensing examinations and success with employer and student satisfaction.
The 2007 - 2008 School of Distinction Award recognizes institutions that successfully completed the accreditation process and were reviewed by the Commission from May 2007 through May 2008. ACCSCT is comprised of over 800 private, postsecondary career schools and colleges.
The Art Institute of Indianapolis was one of twenty-three schools to receive this award nationwide.
The Art Institute of Indianapolis opened their doors in 2006 with only sixty students. As of August 2008, the school boasts 800 students. “We are proud to receive the ACCSCT School of Distinction Award for the work we do everyday,” said President Madeleine Slutsky. “The Art Institute of Indianapolis strives to be the the best postsecondary learning-centered education in Design, Culinary, Fashion and Media Arts in Indianapolis, Indiana and the entire Midwest.”
