Dr. Diana Brady Lawrence Hired as New Academic Dean at The Art Institute of Indianapolis

(March 17, 2008) Indianapolis, IN -The Art Institute of Indianapolis is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Diana Brady Lawrence to our staff.  Dr. Lawrence comes to The Art Institute with over twenty years experience in higher education management and numerous accolades including Outstanding Women in America award in 2000.

For the past eight years, Dr. Lawrence held management positions in the ITT Technical Institute school system.  Most recently, she was the Academic Dean at ITT Technical Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Dr. Lawrence also served as the roles of Associate Dean of Students, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Instructor at ITT Technical Institute Tampa, Florida. Other higher education institutions that Dr. Lawrence worked for include Webster Institute of Technology, International Academy of Design/CEC Corporation and Branell College. 

“Dr. Lawrence brings a vast knowledge of for-profit higher education that will assist in the continued growth of The Art Institute of Indianapolis,” says President Madeleine Slutsky.  “The Art Institute of Indianapolis is expanding in numbers of students, programs and instructors as each quarter passes and Dr. Lawrence will provide the necessary leadership and development in the Academic Department to maintain our high standards.”

Dr. Lawrence holds a doctorate in Higher Education from Nova Southeastern University, a Master of Science in Management from National-Louis University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of South Carolina.  She is replacing Carol Kelley who has moved to help launch The Art Institute of Austin in Austin, Texas.
