TOP INDIANAPOLIS PASTRY CHEF JOSEPH ALLFORD JOINS THE INTERNATIONAL CULINARY SCHOOL AT THE ART INSTITUTE OF INDIANAPOLIS

(April 7, 2008) Indianapolis, IN -The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Indianapolis is proud to announce the addition of Chef Joseph Allford to our culinary staff.  Chef Allford is one of the most recognized Pastry Chefs in Indianapolis for his creativity and delectable flavors.    His award-wining desserts have been recognized by Indianapolis Monthly, Indianapolis Star, and Indianapolis Dine Magazine.

Chef Allford will be passing his skills onto Baking and Pastry students.  Chef Director Marc Aguilera is thrilled to have a true artesian on his team.  “Chef Allford has tremendous attention to detail and artistic craftsmanship of desserts and breads,” said Chef Aguilera.  “He also brings incredible industry experience, past and present, while being approachable to students.”

Currently Chef Allford works at Rene’s Bakery in Broad Ripple and teaches classes at Frasier’s Gourmet Food Shop.  He also created and executed the dessert menu and breads at Peterson’s in Fishers.  In Europe, Chef Allford worked in Ireland at the Cromleach Lodge.  While there, he spent time in patisseries and chocolate shops in Brussels, Cologne, London and Montreal.  Chef Allford is a graduate of Indiana University and pursued his culinary degree at the New England Culinary Institute.
