Career Services

The Art Institute of Indianapolis has a Career Services Department to assist all students in locating and pursuing part-time, freelance, and field-related employment at no additional charge to the student. While The Art Institute of Indianapolis provides career assistance to eligible students, it cannot guarantee employment. Graduates may consider searching for employment outside the Indianapolis area in order to broaden their employment opportunities.

Employment opportunities for current students and graduates who are nonimmigrant aliens (neither United States citizens nor legal permanent residents of the United States) is severely limited by US Department of Homeland Security regulations.

Our Career Services Department offers support for your career planning efforts, including:

• Instruction in job search skills, resume writing, interviewing,
and networking
• Job search assistance that can help you to locate a part-time job while you complete your program of study
• Assistance to secure a full-time job upon graduation
• A Portfolio Show during your final quarter to present your work to potential employers
• Career days, internships, and job fairs where you can meet employers
• Insight into the skills employers are looking for in job candidates
