The Art Institute of Indianapolis student delegation was named Most Spirited Delegation at the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH, Inc) annual conference. This year 2500 students from 249 schools attended the conference, which was hosted by Western Illinois University.
A large component of the conference is school spirit, including cheering, give-away items, team-building games, and banner and display competitions. Awards are given out for each component, with an overall award called Most Spirited Delegation, which is awarded to both a large school (more than 1,000 students) and a small school (less than 1,000 students). The students’ hard work, outgoing attitudes, and never-ending school pride paid off as they received the award on stage.
The Art Institute of Indianapolis student delegation received the same award at the regional conference last November, and team members Kate Overbey, Natalie Farrell, Brett Williams, Kylie Louis, Samantha Pennington, Graham Faubion, and Vanessa Ryan are already making plans for the regional conference this November at Ball State University.
