Internship Placement
Once a student is one to three quarters away from graduating, Career Services will assist them in finding an internship in their field of study. Internships are a great way to utilize the knowledge and skills you have gained in the classroom and apply them in a real-world setting. Every student enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program is required to complete an internship prior to graduation.

As students near the completion of their program of study, they meet individually with a career advisor, a specialist in their field of study, to review career goals, job-search strategies, interview techniques, and résumé development. In addition to the one-on-one counseling provided by career services advisors, the College’s career development courses provide extensive career preparation training. (Not every program mandates this course) The Career Services Department coordinates portfolio shows quarterly for all programs. These special events bring together industry professionals and soon-to-be graduates. This is the first step in assisting our graduates with their job search. Our dedicated advisors aid in the entire job search process, from résumé preparation and interview techniques, to uncovering job opportunities and coordinating interviews when appropriate.

The degree programs of The Art Institute of Jacksonville are designed to prepare students to seek entry-level positions in their chosen fields. The Art Institute of Jacksonville does not guarantee employment or any particular level of compensation following graduation. Students who confine their job search to the Jacksonville metropolitan area may limit the particular employment opportunities available to them. Graduates need to be prepared for a competitive marketplace, which may require relocating in order to enhance their career endeavors. Although the College can offer no guarantee of employment, the Career Services Department works hard to cultivate employment opportunities and to match job leads with qualified graduates. We are truly committed to your success; however, graduates must be equally dedicated to their job search. Finding a full-time job is a full-time job.

Job Placement Rates
The Art Institute of Jacksonville opens its doors to its first students in January 2007. As placement statistics for each program become available, students may review them in the Career Services Department.
