The Art Institutes International-Kansas City Announces New Baking & Pastry Arts Degree
Back
(July 31, 2009 – Lenexa, KS) The Art Institutes International-Kansas City is proud to announce a new program: Baking & Pastry Arts, Associate of Applied Science degree.
The baking and pastry arts professional has a distinct knack for distinguishing all the subtle nuances of a dessert’s flavor, appearance and aroma. The success of a baker or pastry artist is dependent on whether or not they can express their talent to the public by not only satisfying their hunger, but also dazzling their senses. The 18-month Baking & Pastry Arts program is designed to build a strong technical and creative foundation by increasing the student’s level of skill in areas such as Artisan Breads and Baking Production, European Cakes and Tortes and Advanced Patisserie and Display Cakes. Students learn to create tantalizing desserts and breads, in small classrooms taught by industry recognized professionals and receive a comprehensive education in the skills necessary to succeed in the highly competitive foodservice industry.
Classes are forming today for the new program. If you would like to find out more about this new and exciting program, please contact the Admissions office at 866.530.8508 or 913.217.4600.
