We are continually accepting resumes from qualified candidates who are interested in teaching part time. We seek candidates with related industry experience to teach in our various programs.

We are seeking qualified candidates to teach in the following programs: Interior Design, Interactive Media Design, Graphic Design, Game Art & Design, Visual Effects & Motion Graphics and Media Arts & Animation. Below are detailed requirements for each program.

Position Summary:
Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning in the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively support all facets of the learning environment. Provide career education through learner-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace. Encourage a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility, life-long learning, diversity, and ethics as well as personal and professional development.

Organizational Relationships:
Reports to: Academic Department Director, Dean of Academic Affairs

Instructors are needed in the following areas:

•Interior Design – residential and/or commercial design experience desired. AutoCAD proficiency highly desirable. NCIDQ highly desirable, or willingness to pursue.

•Drafting Technology with AutoCAD - background in architectural drafting. Will teach basic manual and computer aided drafting as well as 3D CAD courses. Architectural, engineering or facility planning experience and AutoCAD proficiency needed for CAD courses.

•Graphic Design - 3+ years previous experience working in Graphic Design field. Must possess experience in Adobe CS2 Suite.

•Game Art & Design – Must have knowledge of Discreet 3ds Max, including extensive character modeling and rigging experience in a studio environment.

•Media Arts & Animation – Must be proficient in 2D animation (concepts, character design, storyboarding, etc.), 3D Studio Max, and Maya (modeling, animation, lighting, camera, texturing). Experience in game character animation and low-poly modeling a plus.

•Visual Effects & Motion Graphics - Proficiency in 2D animation, 3D Studio Max, Maya, Adobe After Effects, Discreet Combustion and nonlinear digital editing. Experience in creation of motion graphics for broadcast.

•Interactive Media (Web) Design – experience in Macromedia Director, Flash, Java, VB2, Javascript, Actionscript, Cleaner, PHP, CSS, PERL, Coldfusion, HTML.

•Digital Filmmaking & Video Production – expert video production and editing as well as production sound and sound editing.

•General Education - Sociology, Math, English, Psychology, Historical & Political Issues and Natural Science.

All positions require a minimum of a bachelor's degree in related field. Industry experience a plus. General Education instructors (i.e Math, English, Psychology, Natural Science, etc.) MUST possess a master's degree with appropriate academic coursework and preparation in the subject area taught.

We are seeking candidates who are either interested in pursuing, or are currently pursuing a master’s degree in the following areas:
• Master of Art in Education
• Master of Fine Arts
• Master of Art in Interior Design
• Master of Science in Interior Design
• Master of Art in Architecture or Structural Engineering
