Local Student Is Finalist in The Art Institute of Las Vegas Poster Design Competition

HENDERSON, NEV, MARCH 30, 2009] -- High school seniors were invited to participate in a Poster Design Scholarship Competition hosted by Americans for the Arts and The Art Institutes system of schools.  This three-phase competition is designed to showcase the best high school talent in North America in the field of graphic design through local and national competitions. The local competition takes place at The Art Institute of Las Vegas, located at 2350 Corporate Circle, Henderson, Nevada 89074. 

In partnership with the not-for-profit organization Americans for the Arts, The Art Institutes Poster Design Competition is an opportunity for talented young artists at the high school level to earn a scholarship to study graphic design, earn a degree and launch a professional career in the graphic design field.

The local finalists for this competition include:

The entry of the first-place winner from the local competition will be placed into consideration for the final stage and national judging.  National winners will be notified by May 15, 2009.  In all, The Art Institutes will award approximately $100,000 in tuition scholarships.
