LOCAL NON-PROFITS GET A HELPING HAND

— Art Institute of Las Vegas Announces Pro Bono Services for Summer —

HENDERSON, Nev., July 15– Nevada non-profit organizations are getting a needed boost this summer with complimentary video, graphic design and web design services from The Art Institute of Las Vegas. The school is pleased to announce its pro bono summer projects for non-profit organizations through the Community Arts Resource Exchange (CARE) program.

Through the CARE program, non-profit organizations receive web, graphic design, video and other pro bono assistance from the school. Senior-level students in the school’s design, media arts, culinary arts and fashion programs take on projects as part of their curriculum, exposing them to the rewards of charitable giving and giving them an opportunity to work with a real-life client – experience that boosts their resumes and professional portfolios.

“As funds for charitable organizations continue to tighten in Nevada, we’re thrilled to help offset the impact by offering assistance through classroom projects,” says Steven Brooks, president of the school. “It gives our students the experience they need for their professional portfolios and saves local organizations money that is better used to offer services to their clients.”
