Student Employment
art and design school career services representative with student

The Career Services department provides current students with job search assistance in pursuing part-time employment opportunities to help offset the cost of college.  The part-time job opportunities are not necessarily related to the students’ fields of study, but do offer students an opportunity to gain valuable work experience and skills that may be transferable to careers in the creative and applied arts.

Students are eligible for part-time job assistance upon admission to the school.  Through the Part-Time Job Program, students may be provided with résumé writing instruction, assistance with completing job applications, interview practice and access to job opportunities sent via email.  Students may also obtain information about on and off-campus positions through the Federal Work Study program.  Employers are invited to participate in Employer Spotlights throughout the year.  The Employer Spotlights are designed to connect individual employers recruiting for part-time job opportunities with students seeking employment.

To begin the process, students are encouraged to participate in the Part-Time Job Workshops that are held throughout the quarter.  For more information about the program and workshops, please visit the Career Services department or contact Roberta Vann at or 310.314.6087.
