Student Housing
art and design school student

The Office of Residential Life and Housing is committed to providing students with comfortable, convenient and high-quality housing options. Students are encouraged to successfully pursue their academic, personal and social goals with assistance from professional and student staff during their stay in the school-sponsored housing communities.

The Art Institute of California — Los Angeles contracts with several local luxury apartment complexes to provide housing to students who wish to live in a community with other Art Institute students. Some benefits of school-sponsored housing are:
• Costs can be included in the student financial plan
• Opportunities to meet other Art Institute students
• Convenient locations to The Art Institute of California — Los Angeles, shopping centers and several major freeways
• Professional Residential Life staff live on-site and are available to address student needs
• Social and educational programs are planned for students
• Direct shuttle service is available from school-sponsored housing sites to The Art Institute of California — Los Angeles.

All Art Institute apartments are same-sex. Housing is offered on a first come, first-serve basis.

Basic features of school-sponsored housing include:
• Gated and courtesy patrolled communities
• On-site parking
• Professional property management and maintenance staff
• Fully furnished apartments
• Swimming pools, Jacuzzis and saunas
• Fitness centers
• TV/Theater Room at most complexes
• Computer room at most complexes
• Conference room and meeting space at most complexes.

At this time, family student housing is not available. The Office of Residential Life and Housing offers limited assistance in helping students locate independent housing in the local area.

To request a housing application, schedule a tour of one of our school-sponsored communities or for more general information, contact us at 1.310.314.6149.
