It is my privilege to serve you as the new Alumni Coordinator. My name is Tanya Essien, and I look forward to planning exciting events that will bring you memories, achievements and fellowship. My goal is to build a stronger Alumni Association, and to promote connections through the online alumni community. Here you will find so many alums from The Art Institute of California – Los Angeles that are making a positive difference in our community.
I am sure as an alumnus you have made a resolution to stay connected to The Art Institutes. In case you haven’t, here are five ways to stay connected to The Art Institute of California – Los Angeles, now and in the future.
1. Identify potential students
Send the names and addresses of prospective students to the Admissions Office by calling 1.310.752.4700 or visit http://www.artinstitutes.edu/losangeles.
2. Tell us your story
Did The Art Institute of California — Los Angeles change your life? Tell prospective students and parents about a great professor or mentor, how you discovered your career calling, how you met the love of your life or how The Art Institute of California — Los Angeles made it possible for you to pursue your dreams. Let us know what your Art Institute of California — Los Angeles experience meant to you. Just send us an email at tessien@aii.edu.
3. Hire alumni and students from The Art Institute of California — Los Angeles
Remember how it was when you were trying to get started? Please share information about your career field with The Art Institute of California — Los Angeles’ Career Services Department. Be a mentor for a current student. Do you know about job openings or internship opportunities within your organization? Pass the announcements on to our Career Services Advisors. 4. Give a gift
Each gift a graduate makes to the Education Management Corporation (EDMC) Scholarship Foundation counts toward the alumni participation rate, whether it is $10, $25, $100 or more. In addition to increasing the participation rate, each alumni dollar assures that a student at The Art Institute of California — Los Angeles will fulfill their dream through a scholarship. 5. Keep us informed
Let us know when you hear about someone’s new job, baby, marriage, death, etc. Send us photos, address changes, emails and news so we can send appropriate correspondence and share information with your former classmates. Just go to www.alumniconnections.com/ArtInstitutes/ to send us updates.
