Portfolio Review

At the conclusion of every quarter, as part of graduation, Miami International University of Art & Design hosts a Portfolio Review as a way for graduates to showcase the skills they have developed while at the University. Every student is required to have a portfolio as a graduation requirement so all programs are represented. This exciting event is held at various locations and is open to industry professionals, family, friends, alumni, and fellow classmates. During certain designated times, the graduates are present to help explain their portfolio and discuss their future career plans. There is no cost to attend, there is plenty of parking, and interview rooms are available for companies who have employment needs.
Each quarter, graduating students present their best professional-caliber work for public display in areas such as:

Accessory Design
Advertising
Audio Production
Computer Animation
Graphic Design
Fashion Design
Fashion Merchandising
Film & Digital Production
Interior Design
Photography
Visual & Entertainment Arts
Visual Effects & Motion Graphics
Web Design & Interactive Media

Employers are encouraged to attend—it allows the opportunity to view diverse work in a short amount of time. If a student portfolio is of interest, employers can arrange a more formal interview with the candidate, or get in touch with the Career Services department for help in contacting a graduate.
