CEREMONY DETAILS
Date: Wednesday, June 13th, 2012
Doors Open at 3pm or after rehearsal is completed (guests will not be allowed to watch rehearsals or go near the stage area)
Start Time: 3:30pm
Graduate Arrival Time: 1:15pm
GRADUATING WITH HONORS
Honors are calculated based on grade point average for Miami International University of Art & Design course work. Graduation honors are: Cum Laude (3.5); Magna Cum Laude (3.8); Summa Cum Laude (4.0).
DIPLOMAS
Diplomas are not awarded at the time of Commencement. Contact the Registrar’s Office at 305-428-5679 for pick-up/delivery information.

PHOTOGRAPHS AT GRADUATION
GRADTrak, Inc. will photograph graduates as they receive their degrees on stage. A color proof will be emailed 48-hours preceding the commencement ceremony.
CAPS AND GOWNS
Caps and Gowns are provided to all graduates through the Student Affairs Office. Caps and Gowns must be ordered by completing the Graduation Ceremony Form provided by Student Affairs at the Senior Seminar within the final quarter in which the student completes all degree requirements.
HONOR CORDS
Honor cords will be distributed during the graduate registration process at the ceremony.
TICKETS
Graduating students will receive nine (9) guest tickets. Infant children in strollers or car seats do not need tickets to gain entrance to the ceremony.
Tickets will be distributed from May 7, 2012 to June 11, 2012.

Additional Information:
1. Do NOT bring items with you other than your cap & gown. Leave purses, bags, etc with your guests BEFORE coming to rehearsal.
2. Eat prior to coming to rehearsal.
3. Avoid wearing sneakers with your cap & gown. Ladies please note you will be going up and down stairs.
4. Be sure you bring your cap & gown for rehearsal, you WILL NOT be able to go home and change.
5. You MUST be on time for rehearsal!
