Leadership, Clubs & Activities
With a variety of events on campus, there is something for every student.
Students have the opportunity to gain leadership experience, join a student club,
venture off campus to attend concerts, sporting events, performances and movies.
Resources, games, speakers and events are offered on MIU’s campus as well.
Getting involved will enhance a student’s academic experience and assists
in connecting students from different majors. Being involved in a student
club or gaining other student leadership experience, e.g., New Student Ambassadors
or Habitat for Humanity, proves valuable in the eyes of prospective employers.
A current list of student organizations is available in the Student Affairs Department.
A student also can start a new organization. For instruction on how to do
so, visit the Student Affairs Department. Student Affairs will gladly assist
you with the process and coach you on how to be successful as a student club.
Student organizations include collegiate chapters of professional organizations,
e.g., AIGA, ASID, as well as purely recreational clubs, e.g., soccer team.
