Miami International University of Art & Design offers each student access to the technology, tools, and facilities needed to complete projects in all disciplines. Here, students have the opportunity to produce quality work in an environment appropriate for their chosen career paths.
The university is housed in one conveniently located central building on the corner of 15th St. and Biscayne Blvd. in Miami, previously referred to as the Omni Building.
The main building of the University houses: studios, computer labs, all lecture rooms, administrative and faculty offices, the Office of Admissions, the 800 square foot Main Gallery, student lounge, cafeteria, and the Library, located on the second floor. The Library has over 23,000 volumes and subscribes to more than two hundred periodicals specific to the academic programs offered. The Library also owns a special collection of Vogue magazines from 1947 and a rare and unique collection of the "The History of Costume - The best of the Southeast Florida region."
There is also a parking garage adjacent to the University for students, staff, and faculty to use. A Metrorail station is conveniently located across the street from the main building and offers public bus transportation as well.
Miami International University of Art & Design is equipped with 20 computer labs and classrooms with over 380 computers in both Macintosh and PC platforms. Academic software includes (but is not limited to): Windows XP, Mac OSX, Maya, Quark Xpress, Avid, Final Cut Pro, 3D Studio Max, Gerber, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier, AutoCad, Dreamweaver, Flash, and ProTools. In addition, Miami International University of Art & Design also offers Equipment Checkout and Print Center services on campus. Depending on the student’s course of study, digital video cameras, miniDV digital VCR's ARRI film cameras, Hi Res film/slide scanners, video lunch box, and wide format inkjet printers are available.

Campus Safety
Students, Parents, Staff & Faculty:
The safety and security of our students, staff, and faculty are of our utmost concern. Though we live in a close community, it is important to remember that we are in the middle of a city and it is always wise to keep safety at the top of our minds.
Please remember to take the following precautions at all times:
- Use caution when walking around campus and housing, stay away from dark areas
- Do not walk alone, especially at night. Walk in pairs or groups.
- Pay attention to your surroundings as you walk.
- Avoid dark areas and stay on well-lit and well-traveled streets.
- If something or someone makes you feel uneasy, come to the school as quickly as possible and alert security.
- If you park on campus and are uneasy about returning to your car in the dark, ask the security guard to accompany you.
- Report any suspicious or unusual activity immediately to the security desks in the Main Building, first and second floor, or at the Venetia building, first floor.
