Welcome to The Art Institute of Wisconsin!

As a branch campus of The Art Institute of Phoenix, The Art Institute of Wisconsin is located in the city’s historic Third Ward, just south of downtown Milwaukee. Once the wholesale and manufacturing district, the Third Ward is now a trendy, upscale neighborhood where loft apartments, nightclubs, antique stores, boutiques, restaurants, and art galleries line the streets. Nearby is the Meir Festival Grounds where Summerfest, recognized as the world’s largest music festival, is held.

The Art Institute of Wisconsin is located at 320 East Buffalo Street in the landmark P.H. Dye House, an eight-story building which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Formerly the center of a dyeing operation for a local knitting company, the building also houses an art gallery, along with office and residential space.

As one of the newest members of The Art Institutes system of over 45 schools located across the country, The Art Institute of Wisconsin joins the roster of numerous college campuses and cultural and creative points of interest in the city. For students, this growing urban center in the Midwest offers a unique and creative environment in which to learn and live.
