Residence Life and Housing
The Residence Life and Housing Office at The Art Institutes International Minnesota (Ai Minnesota) is dedicated to helping students meet their housing needs throughout the duration of their education. Living arrangements are important to students’ well-being and academic success.
The Art Institutes International Minnesota serves the student by establishing a solid foundation in a community living environment that includes opportunities for social interaction, activities and programs that help students develop friendships and services that provide for his/her basic needs. Studies show that time spent living in student housing increases a student’s chances of success, both in the classroom and outside of it. Plus, a student can include the cost of student housing in his/her financial plan.
Ai Minnesota Student Housing at Stadium View
The Art Institutes International Minnesota offers student suites at Stadium View located near downtown Minneapolis. Stadium View offers the best in college student housing by providing congenial, convenient, clean and comfortable student housing where students come first. Students living in at Stadium View are assigned to a private bedroom and private bathroom in suite style units. Residents of Stadium View can take advantage of the following amenities located in the building at no cost:
- 24 hour fitness center
- Two tanning beds
- Movie theater with surround sound and projection system
- Game and recreation room with pool, foos ball and ping pong
- Computer center
- Study lounges
- Expanded vending and snack area
- On site DVD rental machine
Housing costs are all-inclusive and are billed directly to the student account at the beginning of each quarter. Included in the cost per quarter are the following:
- Expanded Cable TV with HBO
- Upgraded High Speed Internet
- Heat
- Central Air
- Water
- Sewer
- Trash Removal/Recycling
*Heated underground parking/surface lot parking available at an additional monthly cost.
*Upgraded cable packages including HDTV and DVR are available at an additional monthly cost.
All suites are partially furnished and include the following:
- A full kitchen with full-sized appliances
- Full-sized bed
- One desk and desk chair per bedroom
- Two dressers per bedroom
- Two wardrobe closets per bedroom
- One dinette table with chairs per suite
- One sofa and loveseat per suite
- One coffee table and side table per suite
- Washer and dryer
Students interested in student housing must complete the Housing Application, and submit a one-time $150.00 Housing Application Payment. Once the Residence Life and Housing Office has received these items and the financial plan is finalized, the Residence Life and Housing Office begins the process of placing the student into a suite.
Students are not guaranteed a space at the Stadium View. Assignments are done based on the date that the housing application and $150.00 housing fee are received AND the date the student is officially accepted for enrollment at Ai Minnesota. Students who are not able to be accommodated at Stadium View will be housed in a temporary housing location until space opens at Stadium View.
Approximately two weeks prior to the start of the quarter, the student receives notification of housing assignment placement, move-in times and dates, as well as contact information about her/his suitemate.
Students are encouraged to call suitemates in advance to coordinate sharing of the space, small appliances and electronics. Students who have a specific person they would like as a suitemate should contact the Residence Life and Housing Office at (800) 777-3643, extension 6835.
