Student Housing

The Art Institute of Tennessee—Nashville is proud to announce its school-sponsored housing services

School-sponsored housing provides students the opportunity to live near campus and experience college life fully. Living in school-sponsored housing will provide opportunities for students to get involved in all aspects of The Art Institute of Tennessee—Nashville student experience. Students will live and study with fellow students and have many resources available. Students are encouraged to take advantage of on-site resident assistants available to provide advice and guidance. For individuals who are experiencing their first taste of life on their own, school-sponsored housing provides an excellent transition between living at home and life on your own.

Each unit houses only The Art Institute of Tennessee—Nashville students who share creative interests. School-sponsored housing provides a fully-furnished apartment to students. Electric, water, sewer, trash, and phone are also included in the quarterly housing rate of $1,725. Our school-sponsored housing program offers competitive market rates without the burden of multiple security deposits and credit checks. If you are eligible, you may be able to include the cost of housing in your financial aid package. In addition, the lease expires when you graduate.

Benefits of living in school-sponsored housing include:

  • Furnished apartments with amenities which may include workout facility, club house, pool, hot tub, etc.
  • Spacious floor plans
  • Depending on eligibility, housing costs may be included in your student financial aid package
  • Share an apartment with other students from The Art Institute of Tennessee—Nashville
  • Trash, water, electric and telephone are included in the housing charges! Students are responsible for cable television and internet.

In addition, studies have shown that living in school-sponsored housing:

  • Impacts the development of the personal skills that are necessary for work and family relationships after school
  • Increases students’ support for involvement with different racial and cultural groups
  • Has a strong positive impact on the development of leadership abilities
  • Has strong positive effects on students’ self-discovery and personal development
  • Increases the opportunities for the kinds of academic, intellectual, and social involvement that in turn directly enhance the development of principled moral judgment
  • Is the most important environmental characteristic associated with finishing school for those students who lived in residences during their freshman year

Roommate Matching:

  • We will pair same-sex students using the information provided by the students on the housing application
  • We will pay close attention to smoking preference, study style, and roommate choice when making assignments
  • Space permitting, our goal is to pair students together in a way that is most beneficial to all parties involved
  • Each student will have up to three roommates in a two bedroom apartment (no couples or families)
