(New York City, NY- Oct. 21, 2011)—Young fashionistas in high school are fans of the hit TV shows Fashion Runway and Next Top Model. They dream about one day being on the shows and having a clothing line or store of their own. They also most likely dream about attending the runway shows in New York Fashion Week. This Friday, The Art Institute of New York City in Tribeca offers these trend setters an opportunity to be a part of the fashion action in a back-stage fashion event for high school seniors with a passion for fashion on October 21 from 4:30pm to 7pm.
If you’re a high school senior who sees fashion in your future, take your first steps toward the catwalk and feel the energy and rush behind the scenes at the exciting Fall Fashion Friday event at The Art Institute of New York City. Friends and family are welcome.
Attendees will enjoy a fashion show in which The Art Institute of New York City fashion students designed the collections and produced the show. Some attendees will have the opportunity to have their hair and make-up done and step in front of the camera for a photo, while others will critique the runway. Once you’ve had the chance to see what goes on behind the scenes, take a moment to learn about what it takes to be in the fashion industry.
In addition, high school seniors will learn how to create and submit an entry for The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Scholarship Competition. Reserve your backstage pass NOW to Fall Fashion Friday by visiting: http://fallfashionfriday.com/. There is no cost to attend.
