Cool vs. Cruel Competition Underway
Back
In partnership with The Humane Society of the United States, The Art Institutes are participating in a fashion design competition using cruelty free materials. Students are encouraged to produce fur-free, animal-friendly fashions by using their creativity to replace animal fur.
Under the supervision of Fashion Design department chair Amanda Lovell, all Fashion Design students are eligible to submit an entry. Instructor Anne Rutter’s Patternmaking Design III class is working on the project as part of their final project assignment. According to Ms. Rutter, “we have some excellent students who will be entering the competition.” The deadline for entries is September 25, 2009.
