Gregory J. Marick

President

Gregory J. Marick brings over 15 years of experience in marketing, business development and education management to his role as president of The Art Institute of California—Orange County. He joins the Orange County community after three years as president at The Art Institute of California—Hollywood.

He began his career in international marketing before shifting his career focus towards education. Marick joined Score Learning, a subsidiary of Kaplan then moved on to Knowledge Learning Corporation’s Science Adventures where he directed national operations for its summer camps and after-school elementary education programs.

In addition to his professional role in business, Marick donated his time and expertise to Clothes The Deal, a nonprofit organization that provides professional clothing and related services to low-income jobseekers. As a volunteer member of the board of directors from 2002-2007, he secured grants from philanthropic foundations and partnered with California Assembly Member Jerome Horton and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to initiate a large-scale clothing distribution and job-retraining effort.

A native of Southern California, Marick earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Loyola Marymount University and his Master of Business Administration degree from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. 

Marick and his wife and children make their home in Brea, California.  An avid sailor, he enjoys the ocean, cooking, traveling and writing.
