The Art Institute of California—Orange County joins The Art Institutes system of schools across the nation in celebrating the talents of local high school arts and media educators with an April gallery show, “What Those Who Teach Can Do.”
“We’re honoring what educators in our community do by hosting their work in our gallery,” said Greg Marick, president of The Art Institute of California—Orange County. “Teachers work tirelessly to cultivate the skills of our area’s high school students. The show is our way to shine a light on the talents they use every day to inspire.”
Select teachers from the following schools will have their work on display: El Modena High School in Orange; Godinez Fundamental High School in Santa Ana; Segerstrom High School in Santa Ana; Valencia High School in Placentia.
The month-long exhibition marks the first nationwide effort by The Art Institutes to highlight the artistic works of local teachers. More than 45 locations of The Art Institutes in the United States will host “What Those Who Teach Can Do.”
The Art Institute of California—Orange County invites the public and family, friends and students of the artists to attend the reception at 3601 W. Sunflower Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92704 on Wednesday, April 18 from 5 to 6:30pm at no charge. For more information contact Alan Burner at 714.830.0200.
