Daniel A. Levinson

President 

Dan Levinson, president of The Art Institute of California-Orange County, is an accomplished executive in his second decade of service with The Art Institutes. He comes to Orange County from his prior role as Regional and Group Vice President, overseeing six Art Institutes and five sister schools throughout California, Arizona and Nevada.

Other leadership roles Dan has held with The Art Institutes include five years as president of The Art Institute of California-San Diego, as well as five years as dean of academic affairs for The Art Institute of Phoenix and both academic director and audio faculty instructor positions with The Art Institute of Philadelphia's School of Communications. He also fulfills his passion for education as an elected commissioner to the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT).

Prior to joining The Art Institutes, Dan enjoyed a diverse professional music career, including owning and operating a New Jersey-based recording studio and as a staff keyboardist and pianist in the main showrooms at the Tropicana and Atlantis casinos in Atlantic City. He holds a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University, as well as a Bachelor's of Music in Music Composition from Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts.
