Human Resources Coordinator

The successful candidate will coordinate administrative functions for the HR Department. Duties include payroll processing, coordinating the administration of the benefits program, conducting the employee benefits portion of new hire orientation and possibly assisting with candidate recruitment. This position will also assist with talent management initiatives such as on-boarding, orientation, training, performance review and succession/leadership planning.
We are seeking a well-organized professional with an Associate’s degree in Human Resources/Industrial Relations or similar; Bachelor’s strongly preferred. Candidates must possess 1-3 years’ HR experience or related, preferably in a post secondary education environment or other field with large employee base and strong external customer service requirements (e.g., health care, retail, financial or mortgage services, etc.). Previous payroll/detail-oriented administrative experience a big plus.
Qualifications include solid prioritization, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong computer literacy in MS Office and HRIS database applications helpful, but not required. The ability to work collaboratively with other departments, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a results-driven environment is essential.
