Interior Design Resource Library

The resource library is an integral part of the Interior Design program. Modeled after professional resource libraries typical in interior design and architectural firms, this is where designers research and select samples of the furniture, finishes, lighting, accessories and other materials for use in their work. Both residential and commercial materials are represented. The resource library is arranged following the Construction Standards Institute's Masterspec format. The library also houses a light box which contains a variety of different lighting types that students can use to see how their material choices will look under different lighting conditions. A computer, scanner and printer are available to aid in research of current products and ordering of samples directly from vendors. Student workers are available during library hours to assist students with locating appropriate products and information.
