Oversee the operations of the Housing Office (approximately 130 students) including programming, staff training, supervision, crisis management and management of facilities and student behavior. Responsibilities include developing and managing annual sponsored housing occupancy and financial plan, forecasting and reviewing budgets, and meeting annual financial and occupancy targets. This position will oversee student development programs to ensure they positively impact student satisfaction and persistence. The incumbent will also ensure safe, clean and well-maintained student housing and develop strategies to assess and improve student satisfaction. Additional duties include negotiating apartment and other vendor leases, overseeing annual student housing registration and developing/implementing policies, procedures, student license agreement, rules and regulations, housing handbook, etc.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Student Personnel, or related field (Master’s preferred) and three years of student housing experience (post-bachelor). Advanced degree may substitute for some experience. At least one year of supervisory experience is required. Must possess experience developing departmental budgets, either through span of control or as a contributor. Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal and issue resolution skills required. Superior organizational, computer and analytical abilities are essential. Must be able to understand student development issues in postsecondary education.
