The Art Institute of California — Orange County offers scholarships based on merit, motivation and financial need to new and continuing students. Applications for these scholarships are reviewed by a selection committee. Students must meet a minimum standard of a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) to be eligible for scholarship programs.
Scholarships cover tuition only. They do not cover books, supplies or miscellaneous fees. Students attending The Art Institute of California — Orange County on scholarship must maintain at least a 2.5 CGPA in order to retain eligibility.

C-Cap: Careers Through Culinary Arts Program
Students who are enrolled in a C-Cap program may compete for a two-year, full-tuition scholarship at The Art Institute of California — Orange County. The value of this scholarship is approximately $36,000-$72,000. For more information, speak to the C-Cap Director at your high school or call 1.212.974.7111. Evelyn Keedy Memorial Scholarship
High school seniors who show dedication to their education and a desire for a creative career may apply for the Evelyn Keedy Memorial Scholarship through The Art Institute of California — Orange County. The deadline for this $30,000 tuition scholarship is May 1, 2009.
High School Graduate Scholarship Competition
If you are a U.S. high school graduate or equivalent prior to January 31, 2009, you may enter to win The Art Institute of California – Orange County Graduate Scholarship competition. First Place Winner: $10,000 tuition scholarship to The Art Institute of California – Orange County. Second Place Winner: $5,000 tuition scholarship to The Art Institute of California – Orange County. International Scholarship Competition
Winners of The Art Institute of California – Orange County International Scholarship Competition, will win a $5,000 (first place) and $2,500 (second place) scholarship to The Art Institute of California – Orange County. To enter, you must be graduating by June 2009 or be a past graduate of a foreign institution equivalent to a U.S. high school. National Art Honor Society Scholarship
High school seniors who belong to the National Art Honor Society may apply for the National Art Honor Society Scholarship. Senior class members of the National Art Honor Society are eligible to compete for these tuition scholarships:
First place: $20,000
Second place: $10,000
Third place: $5,000
Fourth place: $3,000
Fifth place: $2,000
ProStart Invitational
Winners of the National ProStart Student Invitational overall competition will receive a $10,000 tuition scholarship to The Art Institute of California — Orange County. Applicants must be a student of a ProStart Culinary curriculum to participate. Skills USA Championship
Students who are members of SkillsUSA may compete in local, state and national championships. The winners of the national championships are awarded the following scholarships: Winners of the Advertising Design,Culinary, Photography and Web Design championships will be awarded a $20,000 tuition scholarship. Winners of the 3-D Visualization and Animation Production championships will be awarded a $10,000
tuition scholarship. Each Art Institute location has a limited number of scholarships. Winners are permitted to choose The Art Institute location of their choice and scholarships will be awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis. National championships are held in June 2009. The Art Institute of California - Orange County Scholarship Competition
High school seniors and international students may compete in The Art Institutes Scholarship Competition. Winners are awarded half-tuition scholarships to their program of choice. The Art Institute of California — Orange County is offering eight half-tuition scholarships to high school graduates who demonstrate ability and commitment in one of The Art Institutes programs of study.
The Art Institutes and Americans for the Arts Poster Design Competition
High school seniors may compete in The Art Institutes and Americans for the Arts Poster Design Competition. Winners are awarded local and national scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $25,000 to attend The Art Institute school of their choice. In addition, the winner’s work will be featured in marketing materials for the Americans for the Arts.
The Art Institutes Best Teen Chef Culinary Scholarship Competition
High school seniors may compete in The Art Institutes Culinary Scholarship Competition. Entrants are asked to submit a recipe and winning entrants are selected to compete at local cook-offs. Winners from local competitions compete in the national competition where the top scoring teen chefs are awarded full- or partial-tuition scholarships to Art Institutes schools that offer a Culinary Arts program. Students must apply to The Art Institute of their choice.
National winners receive scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $30,000. Local winners receive scholarships ranging from $500 to $3,000.
The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards
