Campus Security

The Art Institute of California – Orange County provides the following information to all of its employees and students as part of the school’s commitment to safety and security pursuant to the requirements of the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, and in compliance with The Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989. 

The annual campus security policy report contains information pertaining to the school’s safety and security procedures, including the procedures for reporting a crime, security personnel at the school, policies for preparing the annual crime report, security and access to school facilities, school law enforcement, programs offered concerning school security and the prevention of crime, off-site student organizations, drug and alcohol policies, sexual assault policies and the rights of victims, and information regarding registered sex offenders.  The report also lists the crime statistics for the school site, non-school buildings and public property for calendar years 2005, 2006 and 2007.

The annual drug-free schools report contains information pertaining to the school’s policies towards the use of illegal drugs and the abuse of alcohol on school grounds, the effects of drugs and alcohol, health risks associated with the use of alcohol and drugs, sanctions for violators, danger signs indicating a problem, counseling and area resources.
