M-5 Group
The "M-5 Group" is a facilitated group forum for job-seekers in Art & Design. Each meeting has two components: first, the facilitator (Ed Hunter, Director of Career Services, Elona Lakuriqi, Alumni Coordinator, Lynne Lazor, Student Employment Advisor) presents a selected topic on job searching. Next, you get a chance to brief the group on your immediate job-search situation, and receive individualized coaching from Ed, Elona and Lynne, as well as brainstorming from the group itself. The M-5 Grüp was started as a service to alumni of The Art Institute of Philadelphia, but is now open to all artists and designers in the community. All meetings are free of charge.
M-5 Meetings are held on the First Monday of each month, at 5:00pm in the 2nd Floor Conference Room (coming off the elevator, go through the door straight ahead; it's on your left.) Ending time varies, but usually around 7:30pm. Guests are asked to check-in with the security guard and they can come right in for the meetings.
