Industrial Design Technology Students At Seaport Museum

Industrial Design Technology Students At Independence Seaport Museum

The Art Institute of Philadelphia Industrial Design Technology students in Senior Instructor Wendy Byar's Environmental Design (IT20821) class headed to the Independence Seaport Museum at Penn's Landing on May 21, 2009.

The students are designing a new, more inviting look for the seaport's gangway and dock facility and presented their designs to Boatshop Manager John Brady in the museum rotunda.

After the presentations, Brady discussed the proposed designs and the students had the opportunity to take careful measurements at the waterfront location.

The students will construct and install their creations in time for the Philadelphia Wooden Boat Festival on June 19 - 20.
