Academic Achievement Center

The Academic Achievement Center is located in the Annex Building at 1610 Chestnut Street--on the Lower Level, across from the Library.

Academic Advising
Academic Advising is provided to all first and second quarter students by full-time, professional Academic Advisors in the Academic Achievement Center. The advisors:

  • Assist students with key activities such as Drop/Add and Registration.
  • Explain the rules and regulations so that students understand what is expected of them.
  • Make students aware of resources within the college community and make referrals when appropriate.
  • Monitor their students' attendance and academic progress throughout the quarter.

Tutoring
Students needing tutorial assistance in any course may participate in peer tutoring programs based in the Academic Achievement Center. Qualified peer tutors are available to assist students with all courses taught at The Art Institute. Tutors and learners will agree upon mutually acceptable times for tutoring with the assistance of Academic Achievement Center staff.

Individuals with Disabilities
The Art Institute does not discriminate against persons on the basis of disability. The Art Institute will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified students with disabilities. Requests for accommodations along with required documentation of disability should be submitted to the office of the Director of Academic Achievement as early as possible in advance of the date on which the accommodations will be required.
