Public Transportation
Philadelphia has an excellent public transportation system, which is very accessible to The Art Institute of Philadelphia's campus in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. Most students find the public transportation system to be adequate to meet their needs. Visit SEPTA's website for more information on public transit in Philadelphia. PATCO's website has information on the high-speed line to New Jersey.
Parking is not available at The Art Institute of Philadelphia. Students interested in bringing a car to college will need to make arrangements with a local parking garage. Average monthly rates are $150-200. The Department of Residence Life does not recommend bringing automobiles to college. Students park at their own risk and liability.
Philadelphia is home to an innovative car sharing non-profit called PhillyCarShare.org. Many students have found PhillyCarShare to be a good supplement to the public transportation system.
