The Student Affairs Office is located on the 3rd floor of the Main Building--1622 Chestnut Street.

The Art Institute of Philadelphia Department of Student Affairs provides a variety of services that help students achieve their academic and personal goals. The Department of Student Affairs is designed to complement the education process by providing assistance to students in the areas of housing, counseling, student activities, student clubs and community referrals.

Students at The Art Institute of Philadelphia come from all over the world and from a variety of backgrounds. Some are fresh out of high school, others have been working for years. Whatever a student's situation, add college to the mix and things can get intense.

For students coming straight from high school, this is probably the first time they have lived away from home. That can be fun. However, with independence comes responsibility. Like doing all the shopping, laundry, and household bills. On top of going to college. Maybe on top of a part-time job. And on top of fun with friends. For older students there can be a different set of challenges. Like continuing to work full- or part-time while attending The Art Institute and still being there for your family.

Sound like a lot to handle? That's where Student Affairs comes in. Our job is to help you deal with the realities of life. We have a lot of programs to offer and pros who know how to listen, then make things happen. We're here to clear your way for an education rich with experience.
