International Students Are Welcome!
The Art Institute of Phoenix is home to students from all over the world. Many countries are represented, including Argentina, Korea, Switzerland, and many more! International students bring a cultural diversity to The Institute for both the domestic and international students. If you reside outside of the U.S. and are interested in attending The Art Institute of Phoenix, an Assistant Director of Admissions specializing in international enrollment will provide you with information on admissions, immigration, orientation, and student services.
What Else Will I Need?
As an international applicant you will need to meet all of the general admissions requirements, and you must present official copies of all educational transcripts (both high school and post-secondary education records). Your Assistant Director of Admissions will walk you through the process.
All applicants must also demonstrate proficiency in English. This can be accomplished by providing a diploma from a secondary school (or above) in a system in which English is the official language of instruction. If English is not the applicant's "first" language, the applicant will need to meet the minimum English Language Proficiency standard through submission of an official score on the written Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or its TOEFL computer-based equivalent. The minimum written TOEFL score required is 500 for all associate and bachelor’s level degree programs. Additionally, the minimum score for the computer-based equivalent is 173.
Applicants may contact the Admissions Office to determine other examinations for which official scores, equivalent to TOEFL, are acceptable as an alternative to TOEFL.
