The Art Institute of Phoenix Announces New President

PHOENIX, ARIZONA, JULY 21, 2008 – Kevin LaMountain has been named President of The Art Institute of Phoenix. Mr. LaMountain joins the school after having spent the past 20 years with DeVry University, most recently as President of DeVry University in Dallas, Texas. In his tenure with DeVry, he held several positions including University Dean of Student Affairs and Dean of Student Affairs for the local Phoenix DeVry Campus. Prior to joining DeVry, he worked as Director of Career Services/Student Affairs with Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix.
As a longtime Valley resident, LaMountain holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Arts degree in Education from Northern Arizona University.
LaMountain commented on his new role, “The Art Institute of Phoenix is well positioned to be the leader in design, media arts, and culinary arts education in the Southwest. I look forward to helping the school achieve its growth potential.”
