Virtual Tour

Life Drawing
Steve Missal, well known in the Phoenix area as a fine art instructor and artist, shows students the finer points of life drawing. Missal's work is exhibited in galleries throughout Phoenix.

Art in Cooking
Culinary students express their creativity through food. A gleaming environment and the warm Arizona sunshine streaming in the large picture windows help to transform this kitchen into an artist's studio.

The Gallery
When you enter the Gallery reception area you will immediately witness the creativity that flows at The Art Institute of Phoenix. National and local exhibits, changed periodically, are on display. Student and faculty art are also scheduled during the year. Receptions are held frequently allowing students to meet with the visiting artists.

Supply Store
The Supply Store sells books and art supplies necessary for the successful student. Clothing, hobby items, and food are also available.

The Resource Center
Filled with books, periodicals, CD Roms, videos, and on-line resources, the Resource Center is open to students Monday through Saturday. Students appreciate the opportunity to conduct research without having to leave campus to do so.

Working in Animation
Students sharpen their computer skills in one of six computer labs at the school. Thanks to the small student to teacher ratio at the Institute, instructors work closely to monitor the progress of each student.

Learning the Fundamentals
Students work on their Olympic poster cut paper design project in the Fundamentals of Design class. Here design principles such as form, contrast, texture, and repetition are taught.

The Gallery Café
The Gallery Café provides an inviting atmosphere for students and staff alike. Surrounded by Gallery exhibits, soft lights, and soothing music, the Gallery Café allows culinary arts students to showcase their work.
